Monday Mind Dump....

I have decided that I want to become more diligent in posting to my blog, and I think one of the best ways to do that is to dedicate Monday's to writing about random things that I have thought or things that have gone on over the past week. YES, I REALIZE IT'S NOW TUES, but I experienced technical difficulties as I was writing this last night!

Here it is, My Monday Mind Dump:
1. I am still pregnant
2. I am a freak show and every time I walk out of the house people stare
3. My feet look like hams
4. I am really excited about making a magical childhood for my kid! can't wait for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Disney World, the tooth fairy...
5. Hopefully I'll be feeding a baby as I watch the finale of The Bachelorette next Monday.
6. I'm "Jonesin" for some Pizza and an Ice Cold Coca Cola
7. We had the rudest waitress at Bahama Breeze on Saturday! Excuse me for wanting a lemon with my water, and I'm sorry you had a total of 4 tables!!!!
8. I had a fun lunch with some of my Barber Middle School friends!! visit www.werginznewlyweds.blogspot.com and www.addingtonmom.blogspot.com They too have special Monday Posts and gave me the idea to do the same!
9. one of my brothers got his license (I hear he loves honking when angry...so watch out), one is starting high school (yikes), one is starting 5th grade, and my youngest sister starts kindergarten...this is a big year for half of the Loccisano kids! and I'm starting to feel old!
10. It is hot, and pretty much too hot to do anything...

The Name of the Game: "Waiting"

I love games! Any kind of board game will do! Trivia type games, in particular, are my absolute fave! Recently, however, I started what we shall call "The Waiting Game" and as it turns out, I HATE this game! The most important rule in this game is patience, which I horribly lack! Those who know me well know not to give me ANYTHING that requires assembly, unless they want to see it smashed to smithereens or thrown out the window (Christmas Eve in the Loccisano household puts me WAY over the edge). Even as a child I always had to be reminded about having a patience. As a typical, "grade A" sinner, I want what I want and I want it NOW! Remember the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and sweet little Veruca Salt? She wanted "the whole world, and wanted it now"? Yeah, well that's me! My parents even gave me that name as a nickname for a while.
As I am deep into my 9th month of pregnancy, I have really been tested and refined in the area of patience. I have done so well for the most part, and for a while there I was fine being pregnant forever because I have been so scared about the next part (parenting), which I hear also requires patience. I hit my brick wall this past Saturday night. I had my doctor's appt. Saturday morning, and even though I have dilated, she didn't sound too hopeful that the baby would be coming any time soon, and said it may be a bit into August before he comes!! Even though I know the Lord is in control and He will decide when I will meet my baby, I still left feeling a tad discouraged. The rest of my Saturday was great! I got my hair done, got a pedicure, ate at the Varsity (hoping the grease would induce me), and saw a movie (I still don't know what it was about)! On our way home, I burst into tears! Even though I had a lovely evening, I was unbearably uncomfortable! The skin on my stomach has stretched so much that it HURTS to touch, my heartburn is so bad that I consider Tums to be a legitimate food group, my back was killing me, and it was bedtime, which is the worst part of the day for me because I haven't been sleeping well at all! I know Chris thought that he was married to some crazy loony tune, and when he asked what was wrong, all I could say was " I WANT THIS TO BE OVER!!!!!
I have hit my breaking point, and to think that I still may have a few weeks left is pretty discouraging. I am praying about my attitude and lack of patience, and trying to be receptive to what life lessons the Lord is teaching me through this. The good thing is that I know that I WILL win "The Waiting Game" because Cooper can't stay in me forever...or can he?

"Writer's Block"

I suppose in the world of blogging, I haven't written in a while, but I haven't had anything pithy enough to write about! I have had a lot going on, but since I started my blog, I decided I really didn't want to give a "play-by-play" of what was going on in my life lest it bore my few followers!
I will say that as my due date approaches, I can't believe how fast it has gone by! In May I started a countdown of events that I have going on before the baby comes, and on July 4th I was able to cross the last thing off of my list, and now it's just a waiting game until Cooper makes his big appearance!! I have wanted to do things that I won't be able to do for a while as I enter this new chapter in my life, and fortunately I have been able to do a lot of those things, but there are still a few things that I haven't and may have to wait! I haven't wanted pregnancy to hold me back from doing things, so I have really crammed a lot in this Summer! The only thing that I was talked out of doing was going in a huge, human hamster ball while we were in florida...that probably was a wise decision on my husbands part.
Here is my completed list thus far:
5/17 My first Baby Shower at Barber Middle School

5/31 Girls Trip to Disney World

6/6 My second baby shower (family and friends)

6/9 Kids Camp at Church

6/13 Family Baby Shower/Pool Party
( I don't have pictures:( )
6/19 Church Baby Shower

6/20 Florida with my Love...and family

7/4 PEACHTREE ROAD RACE!!!

That's it, that's all I've got for now! It has been a GREAT Summer so far, and I think I'll take it easy for a bit! Thanks for stopping by!
